Here
The airports of Murcia (San Javier), Alicante, Almeria and Granada are all a similar distance away, approximately one and a half hour to two hour's drive. Transport
from and to the airport can be arranged, but a hire car (readily available
at all airports) is a must to get the most from this beautiful area. Car hire can be arranged locally. |

From Granada (A92N), 9km after junction 385 take exit for "Area De Descanso Ciruelo-Picolo" (picnic area), turn left over motorway bridge and left again following signs for El Ciruelo. From Mediterranean Autovia E-15 A-7, follow A92N Westwards past Velez Rubio and 6km after junction 398 take exit at "Area De Descanso Las Nogueras" (picnic area). Upon entering the picnic area turn right (at the Stop sign) going back on yourself onto a service road for 2.1km and turn left at the El Ciruelo sign (100 m before the bridge over the motorway).
